Terms and Conditions for the Welcome Offers:

  1. Promotion Period valids until 28 February 2010. Welcome Offers are only applicable to brand news cardholders (i.e. did not hold / cancel any Doraemon Credit Card in the past 12-month) who successfully applied for the Doraemon Credit Card within the Promotion Period. Each new Principal Cardholder can enjoy the Welcome Offer only ONCE regardless of the number of Doraemon Credit Card applied. Gift choice cannot be changed once confirmed and cannot be converted in cash.
  2. Cardholders have to accumulate retail purchase or cash advance of HK$2,800 or above within the first 2 months from card issuance, in order to be entitled to the Welcome Offers.
  3. The accumulated spending amount for the Welcome Offers includes transactions of retail purchases, cash advances, "Jetso Installment", "Cash-in Plan", balance transfer, bill payment, interest-free installment and Octopus AAVS; the following transactions are excluded, including but not limited to bank handling fees (annual fee, financial charges, late fees and cash advance handling fee), casino transactions, unposted / cancelled / refunded and all unauthorized transactions. The retail spending / cash advance of Supplementary Cardholder will be combined with the Principal Cardholder’s account. 
  4. The redemption letter regarding the welcome gift will be sent to the eligible Principal Cardholder within one month upon fulfilling the spending requirement and the relevant Credit Card Account must be valid and in good standing status at the time of issuing the redemption letter, otherwise Cardholder will not be entitled to the welcome gift. Gift redemption is bound by respective Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions are set out on the redemption letter.
  5. Welcome Offers listed above are on a first-come-first-serve basis while stocks last. In the event that the gift item is out of stock, MEVAS Bank (the "Bank") reserves the right to substitute the Welcome Offer with another offer without prior notice.
  6. The manufacturers and/or suppliers of the gifts are solely responsible for the quality, availability and warranty of the products supplied, and the Bank has no liability for the quality, availability and warranty of the same.
  7. If Principal Cardholder cancels his/her Doraemon Credit Card within 13 months of card-issuance date, the Bank reserves the right to debit a handling fee of HK$300 to the relevant Principal Card Account without prior notice.
  8. The Bank reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel the offer at any time without prior notice.
  9. All matters and disputes will be subjected to the final decision of the Bank.
 

Credit Card Terms and Conditions:

I:
  1. "Cash Reward" is only applicable to the transaction amount of retail purchases and Octopus AAVS; the following transactions are excluded, including but not limited to cash advances, "Jetso Installment", "Cash-in Plan", balance transfer, bill payment, interest-free installment, bank handling fees (annual fee, financial charges, late fees and cash advance handling fee), casino transactions, unposted / cancelled / refunded and all unauthorized transactions.
  2. Cash Reward" is calculated base on individual transactions. Extra HK$1 "Cash Reward" will be offered for every transaction of HK$200 made on cardholder's birthday with the Card. Taking a single transaction with HK$400 as an example:
      Classic Card Platinum Card
    Normal "Cash Reward" HK$2 HK$4
    Extra "Cash Reward" for transaction on birthday HK$2 HK$2
    Total "Cash Reward" HK$4 HK$6
  3. "Cash Reward" will be posted monthly:
    i For customers who successfully applied for Doraemon Kids Savings Accounts, the "Cash Reward" earned by both Principal Cardholder and Supplementary Cardholders will be credited into designated Doraemon Kids Savings Accounts. In case more than one Doraemon Kids Savings Account was setup, the "Cash Reward" will be divided proportionally among all Doraemon Kids Savings Accounts; "Cash Reward" will be divided down to unit dollar and remainder will be credited to the first created Account (according to the Bank's record). "Cash Reward" is only applicable to the Doraemon Kids Savings Accounts that applied together with Doraemon Credit Cards, and maximum 3 accounts can be linked with each Doraemon Credit Card. For customers who failed to apply for Doraemon Kids Savings Accounts, "Cash Reward" will be credited to their Doraemon Credit Card accounts.
    ii For customers who did not apply for Doraemon Kids Savings Accounts, the "Cash Reward" earned by Principal Cardholder and Supplementary Cardholders will be credited into their Doraemon Credit Caard accounts respectively.
    iii If customers cancel or charge off relevant transactions after posting "Cash Reward", the Bank reserves the right to debit the amount equivalent to the value of Cash Reward given to customers from the credit card account without prior notice.
  4. "Cash Reward" that posted into credit card account is only applicable for settling new purchases, and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
   
II:

To enjoy the offers, Cardholder must present Doraemon Credit Card upon purchase and settle the payment with the Card. Please contact respective merchants for the offer details. The Bank does not warrant on the quality and quantity of the products and will not accept any liability in relation thereto.
   
III:

"Jetso Installment" is only applicable to transaction(s) valued at HK$800 (combined transactions apply) or above. All combined transactions must be made under the same Card account. Cardholders must apply at least 10 working days before payment due date of the transaction(s), as printed on the monthly statement (applications apply to transaction(s) made within recent 2 months) and keep the related sales slip as well as the invoice of related merchants for proof. Please refer to MEVAS Bank website for the updated handling fee and relevant Annualized Percentage Rates (“APR”). No “Cash Reward” will be awarded for this Plan. The Bank has the right to accept or reject an installment plan application without the need to provide reasons. In case of any dispute, the decisions of the Bank shall be final. This installment plan shall be subjectedt to the terms and conditions of "Jetso Installment" and the related terms and conditions can be downloaded from www.mevas.com or call 3101 3838 for details.

   
IV:

“Cash-in Plan": This plan is only applicable to Principal Credit Cardholders (excluding Supplementary Cardholders and Debit Cardholders). No “Cash Reward” will be awarded for this Plan. The Bank will debit a percentage of the approved amount for the monthly handling fee and this percentage will be decided by the Bank from time to time. This plan shall be subjected to relating terms and conditions and it can be downloaded from www.mevas.com. "Cash-in Plan" is only applicable to local personal bank account holder and is not applicable to joint accounts.
   
V:

For online e-banking payment with Doraemon Credit Card, a service fee of 1% of the payment amount will be charged (Only applicable to the Pre-registration merchants). No “Cash Reward” will be awarded for this e-banking services. For information of the merchant list, please visit www.mevas.com.
   
Remarks:
  • The annual interest rates of retail transactions and cash advance for Doraemon Credit Card are 24% and 30% respectively. According to the Net Present Value (NPV) Method specified in the Code of Banking Practice, the Annualized Percentage Rates ("APR") of retail transactions and cash advance are 25.84% and 36.09% respectively.
  • MEVAS Bank reserves the rights to make the final decisions on the approval of credit card
  • MEVAS Bank reserves the rights to amend these terms and conditions or terminate the Offers at any time without prior notice.
  • In case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
  • All matters and disputes will be subjected to the final decision of MEVAS Bank.
